Posing with the Clay Telescope. Las Campanas Observatory in Chile. I've spent about a month of my life on top this mountain.
Photo opportunity with the James Webb Space Telescope as it is being built in the clean room at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. I'm hoping one day to be on the other end of the optical path.
I am a fifth year astronomy graduate student at the University of Michigan. I work with Professor Keren Sharon -- mostly on strong lens modeling in galaxy clusters. I am also learning observing techniques to obtain redshifts of high-redshift galaxies lensed by these clusters to better constrain the lens models and to learn about the star formation within the bright arcs.
