Welcome

I am currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Astronomy at the University of Michigan.  I received my B.A. in Astrophysics & Physics from U.C. Berkeley, my Ph.D. in Astronomy from Columbia University, and spent time as a postdoctoral fellow in the Planetary Sciences Department at the University of Arizona and the Department of Astrophysical Sciences at Princeton University.

I work to characterize the atmospheres of planets outside of our Solar System ("exoplanets"), through three-dimensional modeling of their atmospheric circulation patterns (winds and temperature structures).  I am particularly interested in predicting observable signatures of various physical processes and in identifying new observational techniques that can be used to better constrain the atmospheric properties of these distant worlds.
