The picture on the top left is my current
favorite ... taken from a recent NASA
press release, it shows the center of our Galaxy. This is a
combined images of the Hubble Space Telescope in near-infrared
light, the Spitzer Space Telescope in infrared light, and the Chandra
X-ray Observatory in X-ray light. The full, high-resolution can
be found on the original NASA site here.
They also give a complementary annotated image.
